AIR JORDAN 1 HIGH : ICONIC EDITIONS

The Air Jordan 1 High's rich diversity lies above all in its prestigious collaborations. For example.., J. Balvin is partnering with Jordan Brand to create a colourful pair in the form of a tie-dye. The story of Air Jordan 1 High began in 1985 with the Air Jordan 1 Chicago OG worn by Michael Jordan, who at first glance didn't like the colors of the pair : "they remind me of the devil". He finally managed to convince himself of this after long negotiations, following a multitude of colorways with different stories. The Air Jordan 1 High UNC to Chicago which is based on Michael Jordan's basketball carreer brings together two colours, echoes of two significant periods in his life. The edition Air Jordan 1 High Fearless UNC is a new tribute to the basketball player's career: the blue represents the Tar Heels and the red to that of Chicago Bulls. Finally, the Air Jordan 1 High Defiant were originally intended for sneaker players, with for example the Air Jordan 1 High OG Defiant SB LA to Chicago. These colours therefore mark the history of the model and help to create a real identity for the collection. But this is not the only driving force behind the success of the Air Jordan 1 High. The collaborations are also anchoring the model more and more in the history of the sneakers.

PRESTIGIOUS COLLABORATIONS

Nike is able to offer us luxury models, such as its unprecedented collaboration with Dior. Indeed, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Air Jordan's Nike and the very first launch of the Dior Homme in the United States, the two brands have joined forces to achieve the sneaker of our dreams the Air Dior... which revisits the flagship model of the Air Jordan 1 High. Presented in Miami last December, the Air Dior is a unique model, somewhere between luxury and streetwear.

Travis Scott and Nike are once again joining forces to create an original and retro sneaker. After the Air Jordan 4 Cactus Jack,room forthe Air Jordan 1 High Travis Scott. The American rapper hits hard with this brown and white leather sneaker. An inverted swoosh and a small pocket on the back of the shoe, which will once again surprise Air Jordan fans.

These collaborations thus contribute to the democratization of this model to a wider public, coming from different backgrounds. It is a way to make the model even more prestigious, and to highlight the hard work of the brands/artists through a unique creation.
